We selected 6 latest changes to Facebook and Instagram that will change the way people use these them, and in turn how you will have to adjust accordingly.

Now you can share your stories directly from your favorite apps to both Facebook and Instagram Stories. The focus here is to encourage users to keep sharing their interests on Facebook and Instagram, making the experience faster and easier.

How it will impact Food Bloggers

You can use this tool to engage and create a meaningful relationship with your followers. You can share your cooking playlist from Spotify to your Facebook stories and your readers would be able to go directly to the app to listen what you shared with them.

#2 – Groups

Facebook is introducing a new Groups tab, which will change Facebook’s layout. You’ll be able to navigate to your existing groups more easily and interact with content from all your groups. Later this year, we’ll be able to discover and join new groups through this tab as well.

This is great news if you have a Facebook group with your followers. This feature will help to keep groups more visible and active. It will make it easier for people to find your groups as well.

#4 – New Explore

The Explore feature was redesigned to make it easier for your followers to discover new things. The new Explore will organize suggested content into relevant topic channels, making it easier than ever to browse across interests, while going deeper into any specific area. This feature is being tested now and will soon be rolling out globally.

How it will impact Food Bloggers

This is good news, especially after Instagram’s algorithm change in 2017. Now users will be able to choose their interests and find new accounts to follow, like yours! It will be more important than ever to be aware of your # and how Instagram is perceiving your posts.

#5 – AR Camera Effects for Instagram

Using this feature, creators will be able to design unique, interactive camera experiences, including face filters and world effects, for their followers on Instagram.

Once again the focus is to engage even more with our followers. Something interesting about this feature is that you have to follow the profile to be able to use their filters. Creating interesting new filters will give you a chance to get more followers!

#6 –  Instagram is Now Filtering Out Bullying Comments with It’s Latest Update

The new anti-bullying feature uses machine learning to identify language that’s intended to harass or upset people. When this type of language is identified, the offensive comment will automatically be removed.

How it will impact Food Bloggers

This feature is very self-explanatory. No one likes to get harassed anywhere and Instagram is trying to make sure that the platform will be a safe spot for creators and followers.
